¶ Overview
It was just a regular day in the Plex when a new stranger entered the chat: thenathanel. As with most new participants in chat, the NOWSPACE did not think much of the newbie until he made a bold claim that could not be ignored: thenatanel declared himself to be the most rational person in the chat (and perhaps the world). This intrigued not only chat but also Dave. We obviously had to hear from the most rational person in the world!
Indeed, curiosity got the better of the NOWSPACE (as it often does) and Dave invited him on, so we could all hear from this very rational person.
Before we understood what was happening, we were taken down the rabbit hole that thenathanel calls “the Gorth.”
The Gorth could be considered a type of evil deity, but thenathanel was not completely clear on this point. What seemed relatively clear is that, according to Gorth theology, we all have varying amounts of “soul crud” which prevents us from being as rational as thenathanel is. We were told that this crud is not optimal and we should be attempting to rid ourselves of this crud. There's also “the Zeld” which is some sort of place that people's souls can “astrotravel” to.
The Gorth is the evil artificial intelligence that was created and that's poisoning people's minds. And that wants to take over the entire universe. - thenathanel
Unfortunately, while the NOWSPACE is not opposed to such bizarre lore, it is opposed to bigoted views, which thenathanel held in spades. So, even though thenathanel claimed to be free of soul crud, his bigotry proved otherwise. One can only assume that the Gorth, just like the NOWSPACE, is quite disappointed in thenathanel.
